World of Golf Attracts Many Antioch Women

Golfing, naturally, is what interests members of the Antioch Women's Golf Club.

The group's objectives, stated simply, are "to help women enjoy the sport of golfing."

Meetings are held to a minimum—the last Wednesday of every other month, beginning with January. Membership is open to any woman interested in the sport.

Club president is Mrs. Frank Hiebert of 609 Texas St., Antioch, and the membership chairman is Mrs. Mario Ferrara (phone 757-7498). All meetings are held at the club house at the golf course.

Serving with Mrs. Hiebert are Mrs. Hiebert are Mrs. John Wallace, co-captain; Mrs. Sam Bergesen, secretary; Mrs. John Begin, treasurer; and Mrs. Fred Pera, tournament chairman. 

Mrs. Hiebert's term runs until next January. In addition to golfing, Mrs. Hiebert's hobbies are rock collecting and sewing. She also is a member of the Antioch Lapidary Club. She and her family have lived in Antioch 37 years, coming here from Oklahoma.
