The installation of the 1974 officers of the Pacific Women Golfers' Association, who were elected at the general meeting last November, was the principle item of business during the annual Christmas Party. The event was held at the Pleasant Hills Golf Club in San Jose. A nine-hole tournament proceeded the luncheon and installation, with the San Jose group as hosts.
The Board, saddened by the sudden death of President-elect Eddie Parker, elevated the Vice-President-elect Jean Anink to the presidency. A new vice-president will be selected in the near future. The installation was conducted by Jessie Williams, retiring president. She seated the new president and the following officers: Secretary, Fran Doane; Treasurer, Joan Dietler; Tournament Chairman, Doris Brooker; Co-chairmen, Yolanda Hurley and Connie Peterson.
Directors-at-large: North Bay, Anita Bird; East Bay, Nancy Kind and Carol Hendricks; Fresno, Verna Austin; Sacramento, Shirley Durbrow; San Jose, E.Ney, and Handicap Chairman Eve Maxey.
Appointed Chairmen: Course Rating, Mildred Gielow; Team Play, Millie Weston; Membership, Mable Vincent; Rules, Jean Butler; Prize, Charlotte Segerstrom.
Tournament Representatives: Fresno, Vi Patton; Monterey, Cleo McCoy; Sacramento, Betty Eastman, and Swing Club Representative, Jackie Gant.
President Jean Anink will step into the difficult task of picking up the reins of the Association and the members know she will do an outstanding job.
