ONE FOR THE RECORD BOOKS!

The  stillness of that autumn day was about to be shattered by a burst of thunderous uproars…

Sharon Greene was the first to hit in her foursome. She stood before the 88 yard, Par 3, 4th hole at Diablo Hills and selected a 9 iron. As her shot hit the green about 10 feet to the right of the pin and started rolling toward the hole—her  first thought was “Oh great! I’m going to win "Closest to the Pin”—and as the ball kept rolling she couldn’t believe that it went into the hole! Then the cheering started. It is still unbelievable to her.

Susan Miller followed her using her 7 iron and hit a line drive toward the pin. It landed 3 ft away began rolling toward the pin. Susan walked away and never saw the ball roll in the cup—but began to hear the rest of her foursome cheering. If it was unbelievable to get a hole in one, the idea of two people in the same foursome, on the same hole, seems utterly impossible. What are the odds of that happening?

But it did happen on Ladies Play Day on the 4th hole at Diablo Hills on Oct. 8, 2018.

That is one for the record books!
