Monterey South Bay Playday
I would like to thank all the ladies who came out to play at Pacific Grove on Monday. The course was in great shape and the company was wonderful. As for the weather, it was a little colder than I would have liked. All in all, it was a fun day.
I would like to thank Sue Kort and Jeanne Lambson for attending our play day. They are two valuable members of the PWGA Board, and ladies I highly respect. They are both working extremely hard for you and the future of PWGA. I know they had a fun day with you all.
As always, I had a great time with my partner Colleen Werster. She had a good laugh on me when I shanked the ball twice and once with a wood. That is right, it is possible. She carried me on quite a few holes. I was getting a bit heavy. Evelyn and Jennifer had a good laugh on that as well. They are fun girls to play with, and I hope you all get the chance to play a round with them. Those girls from Sunnyvale are ones to recon with. Good golfers and a pleasure to play with.
I hope to see more ladies at our upcoming event at Carmel Valley Ranch on October 22nd. This will be our last play date for 2018. We will be playing from the forward tees, about 4800 yards. There is also a lunch after due to the fact we will be handing out the League Play trophy for gross and net, Winner Circle gross and net, and play date awards. A big day for everyone. Please grab a friend and come out for the day. We have the whole course to ourselves, for a 9AM shotgun.
