Mildred Jude Takes Pacific Distaff Golf Title on 34th Hole

Mildred Jude, a longtime north state links campaigner from the Tilden Park Golf Club in Berkeley, is the new Pacific Women Golfers Association champion after scoring a 4 and 2 victory at Whitney Ranch National course over Mrs. Clinton Adams The winner of numerous bay and east bay area events in previous years, Miss Jude maintained a lead throughout yesterday's long match on the rolling Rocklin course. She help 3-up leads at the end of nine, 18 and 27 holes and closed out the scheduled 36-hole final round with a winning par on No. 16, the 34th hole of the match.

Mrs. Adams, the current Bing Maloney and Ancil Hoffman Park women's club titleholder, also is a past PWGA champion. 

Awards in the first state tourney to be held in the Sacramento area by the women's publinx organization were presented yesterday afternoon by Mrs. P. K. Maxey of San Jose, the president.

Mrs. F. L. McKenzie headed the host committee of the Whitney Ranch Women's Golf Club.
