PWGA has divided its course rating responsibilities to cover 8 geographical areas for rating purposes. Each area has its own team, comprised of a Chairman and several raters. Please contact your specific area course raters.
A golf course is rated on its measured length and its playing difficulty under normal conditions based on the ability of the scratch golfer and the bogey golfer, and compared with other rated courses.
If the length of your course changes materially (a difference of 9 yards will change the Course Rating 0.1 stroke), contact your Area Course Rating Chairman as soon as possible. PWGA Permanent Course Rating Markers may be ordered through the PWGA office.
