The PWGA San Jose Area is made up of 21 women's golf clubs.  They consist of clubs that exist within view of the Golden Gate Bridge at the most northern point in the great city of San Francisco, and as far south within range of the garlic infused air from southern San Jose and Gilroy.  There are clubs that lie within the Silicon Valley and point east to the western slopes of the coastal mountain range and the Pacific Ocean.  The golfing weather can vary from cool foggy conditions to toasty and warm, and all within a short 20 to 30 minute drive.

There are six playdays scheduled from March to August.  The playdays are flighted by player handicap, allowing women at varying skill levels the opportunity to be recognized for their good play. The Area Zone Team Qualifier is conducted in July and an Area Tournament of Champions (TOC) is held in August.  Women of all ages are encouraged to join.
